"Kunstwechsel" – exhibition series, (almost) annually since 1998

KUNSTWECHSEL is the name of an art project which has been taking place in Siegen since 1999 with great success.

KUNSTWECHSEL is a mix of vibrant, unconventional, youthful art and culture.

KUNSTWECHSEL offers space for literature and music.

KUNSTWECHSEL is an event with an open and communicative approach.

KUNSTWECHSEL is equivalent to art in alternate locations with unusual atmospheres.

KUNSTWECHSEL is based on the idea of finding new modes of presentation for young, varied art forms, and to create opportunities for meetings and direct exchange between artists and visitors.

Kunstwechsel takes place in vacant buildings whose unique character is picked up on by the participating artists and the composition of the programme.

To every Kunstwechsel, gruppe 3/55 invites approximately 40 young and mostly unestablished artists from the fields of painting, photography, graphic design, sculpture, film, performance, internet, and video art.
